Internet based CCTV systems have many uses for both Commercial and Domestic Installations.
Any type of CCTV system can be connected to
the Internet, new or old. This will allow you full access to all your
cameras from anywhere in the world. You can even control the movement
of cameras (Pan/tilt/zoom). Access can be restricted by using passwords.

Internet based cameras
CCTV cameras can now be 'Networked' via LAN/Wan/Internet allowing
images to be viewed remotely on any PC or PDA.
This can be achieved in a number of
ways, for example an existing
system may be added to a Digital Video Recorder with integral LAN
facility or by using a separate Video Server.
A Video Server may be added to any standard CCTV system or single
camera allowing very cost effective remote monitoring.
You can also use a DVR card this will slot into the back of a PC
converting part of your PC into a Digital Video Recorder the cameras
are then networked using the Ethernet connection on your PC.
Another way is to use a camera that
has an integral video server, these
cameras are assigned an individual IP address and will function as
complete standalone systems.
Networking new CCTV systems can offer considerable savings over
conventional hardwired installations especially in larger systems, this
is due to the reduction in the amount of cabling required to send the
images to the monitoring position. A network camera is simply connected
to the nearest Ethernet connection on your existing LAN.

Remote
monitoring / Control over networks
using a standard web browser
The SNC-RZ30P is equipped with a 100Base-TX (RJ-45) interface and
has a web server capability with an assignable IP address. These
features,
coupled with the camera’s built-in software, allow the user
to
control the unit and view live images over a network. All that is
required is a PC running a standard web browser. And, by installing
the optional IMZ-RS Series Intelligent Monitoring Software, up to 32
cameras can be simultaneously monitored, recorded and controlled
from a single PC or multiple clients.

It could not’t be simpler to locate almost any position in
the viewable
area surrounding the SNC-RZ30P thanks to its high-speed
PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) capability. Of all the PTZ-capable network cameras
currently available, the SNC-RZ30P has one of the widest ranges
in its class: a pan range of 340°, a tilt range of
115°, plus an excellent
25 x optical / 300 x digital zoom capability. The full 340° pan
range
can be covered in 2 seconds, and the -90° to +25° tilt
range can be
covered in 1.5 seconds. In addition to the wide range of motion and
high-speed movements, the SNC-RZ30P incorporates gearless
direct-drive motors that ensure exceptionally quiet operation.
